Fifth Place Overall at Conference
Congratulations UM-ASCE members on your success at the 2011 ASCE Southeast Student Conference in Cookeville, Tennessee!  UM-ASCE competed in all 15 events at conference against 24 other schools and placed fifth overall.  The club won first place in hydrology, hydraulics, and visual display, and third place in the environmental competition.  In addition, one of the biggest accomplishments this year was UM-ASCE’s achievement of first place in bridge stiffness!!  No matter the outcome of a competition, it’s great to know that the members care so much and take such pride in their school.  Although the club did not have much success in the canoe competitions, great strides were made since last year and already there are plans to do even better next year. The club as a whole would like to say thank you to all its members, the CAE faculty, our sponsors and anyone else that has helped make this year a success.
